WHAT IS THE NEW SNOW BIKE DISCIPLINE ?

Union Cycling International (the worldwide cycling authority) officially recognized this discipline created and presented by Eric Barone in June 2018. Given that the IOC does not have a new winter sport and UCI has no presence in the winter events, this sport undeniably has a significant advantage in attracting the attention of the IOC.

Inspired by alpine skiing, this new discipline of snow bike riding is fun and requires little snow.
The principle is a cocktail of these ingredients:  hard-packed snow, the earth's gravity, a Super G or downhill-type ski track, a handlebar, and two wheels with studs. This is the ideal combination needed to replicate the driving sensation of a car rally or motorcycle circuit.
The participants take off individually or in pairs to achieve the best time.

WHO IS THE FOUNDER? ERIC BARONE

As a former professional ski patroller, UCI world champion in downhill mountain biking, and has set multiple world records for speed biking on snow with a world record still current: 227.720 km/h; he possesses a clear vision on the development of this sport with major economic potential.

AT PRESENT: 3 “SNOW BIKE” ACTIVITIES

THE COMPETITION: Super Downhill or Super Giant

Super G or Super DH is an alpine racing discipline on snow by mountain bike. It is considered a “speed” event requiring technical mastery and courage.
The Super G gates must be at least 10 meters wide and marked by two banners supported by stakes. Wide turns, jumps, compressions, and long straight lines characterize the course depending on the shape of the terrain. Considering the risks involved and necessary dedication, cyclists practice on the circuit numerous times ahead of the race, which is a unique aspect of this sport. The winner is the one who achieves the best time.
One of the most fun sports in the world.

NORDIC BIKING (A great escape!)

With the arrival of the VAE (Electric Assisted Bicycle), new enthusiasts are emerging around Nordic biking. These same practitioners clearly express the safety aspect of this alpine practice where the fall is less severe than on solid ground. However, a short technical training with an instructor is necessary to comprehend the bike's reactions and to learn about maintaining traction on snow during turns or braking maneuvers

Discovery - Pleasure

SNOW GARDEN (For children)

The future of a discipline depends on the children. Children who participate in this experience develop a strong attachment to this activity. Under the guidance of an instructor, kids discover the joy and thrill of riding as they traverse a marked course.

Riding on snow is a childhood dream!
